Up with the sun, take off with Jill. Devil’s Postpile interesting, but Sierras scenery dwarves such single formations. Hike through forests all day. Nice scenery. Ankle improvement makes hike easier.

Keith takes us on an adventure up the side of a ridge looking for Garnet Lake. With a struggle, we make it up. The lake is magnificent. Take megashots, look it all in. Head off for next site at Thousand Island Lake. Jumped by mosquitoes we hide in Jill’s tent.  Out we cook, eat, crash.
