Journey Day 438 | CDT Day 101

After three days in Boulder, our reunited group hiked back onto the trail in 1987.

9/23/87

Up with the workers, Bruce turns back at the last minute and we laugh some more, then ride into Boulder. Nice ride, once I get feet into toe clips. One group of jerks, but good views, to Park, the Flat Irons, Indian Peaks. We put bikes at shop (locking with a lock we bought right there). Drink, eat Italian nachos on the mall, watch amazing beauty. No luck on needs at the first store, visit the Bibler Tents store. Walking bikes through the mall, come upon Laurie and her mom eating. Talk, then on to Army Store which has what I need, sunglasses and a compression stuff sack. Back to Juanita's where we suck at pool and on margaritas. Good times!!! Out on the street joking about books when Beth comes up stewing when we don't notice her in our drunken stupor. She stalks off, we head back into the restaurant for excellent food. Big ice cream at Penguin's, then back to their house Watch slide show, they crash, I too after another chapter of Abbey.
