After three days in Boulder, our reunited group hiked back onto the trail in 1987.

9/24/87

Up with the workers again. Today Bruce makes it off to work, leaving us the station wagon. Leonard and Laurie call, want directions I can't provide. Bruce not in his office. But Beth who called about yesterday is able to give me directions.

Leonard and Laurie arrive, we plan for New Mexico. Food resupply, bank stop. Bruce and Beth return. Paul Buzzard appears. We grill burgers and dogs. Eat in dying light, fun talk. Check stars, lesson from Beth, the naturalist, turned accountant. Back inside, the group dwindles. The BGers: Buzz, Bruce and I, talk long. Buzz back to his hotel, Bruce to bed. I stay up for more Abbey before crashing.
