High in Vermont, views looked ahead to the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Up early, climb to The Lookout, a new cabin-overlook. After a break, hike on down to Lookout Farm Road, then along to a break spot with Jack and Leonard where we learn Boater Bill is just ahead. Long rest, then hike on, make a long climb. Back down to another hot road. Brain fried, find Leonard, Jack and Bill swimming with a Mom and boy.
A short climb to the Hobbit Hut for a long rest. Hike through some farms, meet Jerry, from Dalton, OH, and climb back up for a nice view off Totman Hill. Eat wild blackberries, then back down the hill, up to Cloudland Shelter (night before was Stony Brook Shelter). Big hiking day. Bugs prompt me to pitch tent inside the shelter. Crash to jazz.
