Shutterbug and I crossed paths again.

Up, dash into Bascom Lodge  for breakfast. Do work to pay for pig out. Laze about as fog, rain, nasty cold weather settle on mountain. Many gather to escape nature’s way. Talk with an unhappy New York lady, man from New York sighting plants, others, try to solve boot problems.

Catch a ride back to Pittsfield with Louise and Ellen Lloyd from the lodge. Buy boots, eat and drink at La Cocina, get Chinese food with Jack and Ellen, as well as a case of beer.

Back to the lodge, down to shelter. Shutterbug shows up as dark hits. We talk, drink, Louise gets a fire going in the rain. Back to the lodge, talk to staff in their quarters, crash with the naturalists.
