Journey Day 280 | AT Day 103
7/2/86
It’s pouring, but I push out too cold. It’s freezing, muddy and slippery down to Tyringham. The postmaster sets me up with much-needed, hot, dry breakfast with her daughter-in-law. Great eating, company with the Chuck Clark family. Then I push on up past Lower Goose Pond to Upper Goose Pond in heavy mud. I stop at the cabin there, giving it up for the night. Talk, warm up with caretaker Liz. We eat, canoe, patrol, take photos. More time by the fire hypnotizes me, then to bed.
