i stopped at Hawk Rock for photos of the Susquehanna Valley.

Slower up, but out of the shelter quicker than Shutterbug. He quickly passes me on the rocks. I stop at Hawk Rock for photos of the Susquehanna Valley.

After a father and son on the trail, I meet Shutterbug at the store in Duncannon, hit the post office. Shutterbug’s relative picks him up, I have two breakfasts at The Gathering Place, then hike down to the Doyle Hotel and begin drinking.

John and the others I hiked the Cumberland Valley with join me.  Eat AYCE with John. They leave. I head back, nervous after a talk with my mom. I decide to hike out. Pass my friends, other homes, cross the Susquehanna on a new bridge. Up to safety after a big climb on a rocky trail with a flag at the top. On to the shelter, but pass for a tent spot. Crash in darkness.
