Journey Day 220 | AT Day 43

We laid over another day in anticipation of a bluegrass show at Levi’s Diner.

5/3/86

Up slow, hung over. Bid farewells, clean up. Take off to Barbie’s, then back to Levi’s. Still no pack part. Barbie leaves, we rig it with Levi’s considerable help. Eat, sit, Levi carries us to cabin, we take another layover to be around for Sunday bluegrass session. Michael P. Jones stops in, goes on (I finish the A.T. with  him).

I crash in the sun, Jack, David head back down. I awaken, eat again as they return. We all mellow out, I contemplate what has become a six-day lay-over. Hope it won’t be too hard to get back into hiking.
