Journey Day 228 | AT Day 51

The day starts with a short hike to nowhere. We bushwhack back to the road, get to MacAfee Knob. Long break with Roanakans, hike down. Back on trail, push along ridge, finding trail as I go. Nice hike to climb up to Tinker Cliffs. Another good break, lose temper and a bottle down a rock face. On down to Lambert’s Meadow, Wash, break at shelter. Push on tired. More stops, finally descending to Troutville. Highway frenzy!! Cooler, then over to restaurant. Too late. Angry, I complain. We make our way to  truck stop hotel. I hit restaurant, elbow to elbow with truckers, and gorge. Back to shower, TV, crash.
