Journey Day 327 | AT Day 150
8/25/86
Up for another monster breakfast at Shaw's Boardinghouse. Rest, watch TV, lazy. Skip LaPlante, trail-name Seaweed, a violinist and originator of the Homemade Instrument Project in New York City, shows up. So does Michael P. Jones, a Maine native and repeat hiker of the A.T. Quite a congregation! More beer drinking during a night spent with them, along with Mark and Merv, the Limey Two Step and Alfie the Wonder Pup, shooting the bull, smoking cigars, on the porch. We also take a trip to a store in Guilford and enjoy another big steak dinner at Shaw's.
