Keith and me atop Sugarloaf Mountain.

Up early, coax Keith to push on down to the stream. We take a new trail on a long climb up Cone Mountain, leading us back onto Spaulding Mountain, with great views of Sugarloaf Mountain. Good weather, but slight sprinkles. Meet a Quebec trio. Talk, then climb up Sugarloaf with views to the ranges to the east. Enjoy perspective from a relief map in the Sugarloaf Gondola House. Push down to the Carrabassett River where we camp in a great riverside site.
