Journey Day 235 | AT Day 58

Jack Mallory and I hiked with Barbie Blair after meeting at a trout fishing pond along the Appalachian Trail.

Up slow, down to breakfast. Over to trout pond, where locals and tourists gather for this particular cultural phenomenon.  Laze in sun until Barbie pulls up. Back to camp, off to Charlottesville after say goodbye to Mark.  Shakes, then down the Blue Ridge. Lost, then to Ashlawn, Monroe’s home, then Monticello. Eat in Charlottesville, Italian style, call Wayne and Kathy Richards. Drive back, stop at Raven’s Roost, crash after talking with other hikers at the campground.
