We hiked with breaks down to Allen Gap, then up Laurel Mountain.

Up real early, I hike out first, but Dave, Wayne, Eric catch me and we spend the day hiking together with many breaks down to Allen Gap, then up Laurel Mountain, before hiking to Jerry’s Cabin Shelter, in an area still claimed by dirt bikers. Eat, push on, leaving the gang behind despite their protests. Hike down the road-trail, drop near Civil War graves after pulling logs into the road, declaring war on dirt bikers. Possibly the birth of a money wrench era…
