Hiking along the Appalachian Trail.

Late start with a smile, down to Winding Star Gap. Easter hike thinking of wild adventures. Talk with ROTC and buddy, hike up Wayah Bald. At tower, enjoy views with Jack and Bosun, who caught us at Wine Spring. Our other new friend, Dave, had to go back with a bum knee. A sad note. Camp below bald, resolve to hike in the next day. Athletic bushwhack to water. Crash for early getaway.
