Hike out early, leaving Joseph babbling on a cloudy hilltop. Catch Keith, we talk of team. Then on past a trail crew. Blow off hot springs, decide to push on.

Long climb, descent, climb in rain, cold, clouds to Fire Creek Pass. Then down, sliding to Milk Creek. Jeff and Keith bivvied here as rain, cold sets in. I get into bag quickly after raising tent with Jeff's help. Crash thankful for this shelter. Pray for weather break.
