We returned to the Dan May Yelverton Shelter rather than try the slippery ridge ahead.

Up, we pack. Jeff comes back after checking, says it’s no go. We reset up. Eat more, make the best of it.

Read, eat in tents in shelter built for Dana May Yelverton, a little girl who died in a storm like this.  Talk, crash again with plastic bag to add warmth around frozen feet.
