Up from spot, hike out cold. Hike up,  cross many roads. Rain!!! Old deer-hunting couple amuse me at a break spot. Eventually up along Mt. Adams lower ridges. Snow hits me as I move around in shorts.

Freezing I switch to warmer clothes. Push on to Killen Creek. Darkness again. Another gorp dinner. No Mt. Adams views except clouded over upper regions.
