Mt. Jefferson in show and clouds.jpg

Up early to update. Crew eats big breakfast. Do laundry  as Father, Chuck, Father Pat Donahue prepare, then leave. Go to pay Ed, no money. Apparently lost since JL gave to me at Obsidian Falls. Set up mail payment. Launder once without soap. Second time, then dry.

Hike out after goodbyes. Bob and Debbie watch hostel while Rev. Ed and Alice go hiking. Broke, I hike up and around, finally on ridge to Three-Fingered Jack.

This was among the views enjoyed from the fire lookout tower on Three-Fingered Jack.

Catch three friends at lookout. Munching, taking in good views. Can see back to Three Sisters, Black Butte.

Pass them on the trail, push ahead. More great views ahead and behind. After a long push, hit Rockpile Lake. Eat dinner despite wind blowing out my stove. Friends reappear as I pack up. Again goodbyes. Hike ‘til dark. Get a great spot looking at latest great peak, Jefferson.
