Journey Day 137 | PCT Day 137

The weather changed as we entered the Three Sisters Wilderness.

8/31/85

Up in cold, we gulp cold drinks, breakfast. Strike out on trail. JL doing well despite blisters, stiffness. Break at Cliff Lake, a popular camp spot. Dry sleeping bags dampened by dew.

Off again, JL dragging a bit. He falls in love with Dumbbell Lake, but I convince him to push to Horse Lake. Cross stream after long hiking with tired buddy. He won’t swim in Horse Lake. I’m too intense for vacationing.

Push on to Sisters Mirror. As has been along the trail, many folks. Nice views of the South Sister.
